How to run donation goals on stream to boost support

A goal turns donations into a shared achievement. Viewers are more motivated to help when they understand their contribution is moving toward a concrete result.

The key is to mention the goal often. When viewers remember what you are building together, each new donation feels like a group accomplishment.

Set a specific, understandable goal, for example a new microphone or a special stream. A clear reason brings more people in.

Keep the goal realistic. An achievable goal that gets completed builds more future support than an unreachable number.

Put the goal where you have control: announce it out loud, write it in your stream title or a channel panel, or add a text source in OBS that you update by hand. Track progress from your Donator dashboard, where incoming donations appear.

On each donation, mention the donor by name with the normal donation alert and say out loud how much closer you are to the goal. When the goal is reached, thank the community, which builds trust for the next goal.

Streamlabs and DonationAlerts often offer a goal widget or progress bar. On Donator you run the goal by hand: title, panel, or OBS text, while the alert still comes through an OBS Browser Source.

In Georgia it matters that donations land in GEL. If you used a Streamlabs or DonationAlerts goal before, you can swap the alert URL and keep the goal text on the same scene.
