What this is
Each Onramp is a roughly two-hour interactive course where you write code directly in the browser and the system checks it as you go. Beyond MATLAB Onramp there are Simulink, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Image Processing and other versions, each with its own certificate.
No MATLAB licence is required, which removes the real barrier here: even the student licence is paid, while the learning environment runs on the MathWorks side.

- 1Open MathWorks and create a free account. No card is asked for at any point.
- 2Work through the material, ~2 h in total. It is self-paced, so the time is yours to spread.

- 4Download the certificate as a PDF and keep the verification link, which is what an employer actually checks.
