Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing Bids Farewell to Dog Ted
In the final episode of the ninth series, Bob Mortimer pays tribute to his beloved dog Ted, who passed away this year.

Final Appearance of Dog Ted
Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse, the stars of the BBC show 'Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing,' are saying goodbye to their companion Ted in the final episode of the ninth series.
Ted, a Patterdale Terrier mix, made his last TV appearance on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The show returned to the River Ribble, where viewers saw Mortimer and Whitehouse set up camp for their latest fishing adventure.
Tribute to Ted
Mortimer expressed his fondness for Ted, describing him as someone who didn't care about their presence and was more like a cat. He added that Ted never caused any problems and would often go off to rummage around.
Whitehouse also shared that they have one visit from Ted left, which will be the last show featuring the dog. Mortimer mentioned that they catch quite a lot of fish during their visits to The Ribble, possibly due to Ted's luck.
