What this is
Fortinet Certified Fundamentals is the successor to NSE 1-3: the threat landscape, network security architecture and the logic of FortiGate. The courses live on Fortinet's own training portal and the certificate is issued there.
The value is practical: when a local employer hires a junior in security, the infrastructure is often FortiGate, which makes this a name that is recognised in the interview.
Who it is for
Anyone interested in network security who would rather hold a vendor relevant to the local market.
How to get it
- 1Open Fortinet and create a free account. No card is asked for at any point.
- 2Work through the material, ~15 h in total. It is self-paced, so the time is yours to spread.
- 3Complete every module. The document is issued on completion, not on an exam result.
- 4Download the certificate as a PDF and keep the verification link, which is what an employer actually checks.
