Potential Coaching Opportunity
According to NFL insider Josina Anderson, an ownership family in the NFC is considering former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin as a potential replacement for their current head coach.
The ownership family, who has a coach on the hot seat, is reportedly open to wooing Tomlin to their franchise if the team is struggling this season.
While the exact team has not been named, sources suggest the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where Tomlin previously worked as defensive coordinator, are a possible destination.
Tomlin’s Coaching Career
Mike Tomlin, known for his 19-year tenure with the Steelers, where he won a Super Bowl and never had a losing season, has stepped down from his coaching role.
He led the Steelers from 2007 to 2025, leaving the team with a record of 193-114-2, including 13 playoff appearances.
Following his departure, Tomlin has taken on a role as a studio analyst for NBC Sports, providing commentary on Football Night in America.
