Role Title: DevOps Engineer Role Type: Contractor Location: Remote micro1 is engaging DevOps Engineers to contribute to a dynamic customer project focused on scalable, modern cloud infrastructure. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required - your domain knowledge is what matters. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about automation, infrastructure as code, and continuous improvement, with a special focus on strong written and verbal communication skills. Key responsibilities
* Design realistic DevOps tasks based on production-style scenarios (CI/CD, containers, orchestration, IaC, monitoring, incident response)
* Write working reference solutions with clear setup and validation steps
* Review AI-generated output, identify failures, and write precise corrections with reasoning
* Maintain a strict quality bar on correctness and reproducibility
* Share structured feedback that improves future task design
Required qualifications
* 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform, or Infrastructure engineering
* Strong coding ability in Python, Go, Bash, or TypeScript (this role needs real code, not scripts alone)
* Practical depth in CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins), Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)
* Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation)
* Advanced Linux and Git
* Professional English, written and spoken
* Availability of at least 20 hours per week
Preferred qualifications
* Observability stack experience (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry)
* Security, secrets management, or platform reliability background
* Open source contributions or technical writing
* Previous AI training data or model evaluation work
