Kittle Back at Practice as Yahoo Fantasy ADP Shifts
Tight ends are moving fastest in the final week of 2026 draft season, with George Kittle, Dalton Schultz and Terrance Ferguson all climbing.
Tight End Movement in Yahoo Drafts
George Kittle has returned to practice and is trying to ramp up for Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams after a seven-month rehabilitation from a torn Achilles tendon, according to Yahoo Sports.
That has pushed his average draft position, the typical spot at which a player is selected across fantasy leagues, upward in Yahoo drafts. Yahoo Sports says drafters appear to be projecting him back at the top of the San Francisco pecking order, citing ongoing soft-tissue problems for Mike Evans and a short-term injured reserve stint for Christian Kirk.
The publication calls Kittle riskier than tight ends being taken after him, naming Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews, but says he has more upside than almost anyone at the position if he stays healthy. A player named Stribling has climbed from 154th to 103rd over the run of the column.
Schultz, Ferguson and the Late Rounds
Yahoo Sports describes the late rise of Dalton Schultz and Terrance Ferguson as one of the bigger mysteries of the past month, calling a round-and-a-half jump without clear cause curious.
Schultz has drawn 85 or more targets in five straight seasons and caught 82 passes for 777 yards last year. Yahoo Sports ranks him as its 15th tight end and calls him one of the safest picks at the position outside the top 12, pointing to the loss of Jayden Higgins, the spotty health of Nico Collins and Tank Dell, who was placed on short-term injured reserve, and doubts that the acquisition of Kayshon Boutte absorbs all of Houston's target volume.
Ferguson's case is weaker, the publication argues. The second-year tight end would have to beat out Colby Parkinson, Davis Allen, Tyler Higbee and second-round rookie Max Klare for snaps in Los Angeles, then earn targets behind Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. Yahoo Sports calls that a very long shot and prefers Schultz, Chig Okonkwo or Brenton Strange.
Best Ball Markets Elsewhere
Similar tracking runs on other platforms. Footballguys publishes a top 15 risers and fallers list for Underdog, where entry prices run from 3 dollars to 500 dollars and one contest turns a 25 dollar entry into a 2 million dollar prize.
Establish The Run's Market Monday column, written by Jack Miller and dated 31 August 2026, compares average draft position over the last seven days against the period 8 to 14 days earlier, covering both Underdog and DraftKings. Best ball is a draft-only format with no trades, no waivers and no lineup setting.
The Yahoo Sports headline lists MarShawn Lloyd and TreVeyon Henderson among the biggest movers, and notes Raiders rookie running back Mike Washington Jr. as the previous week's top riser, but the available text does not explain the reasons behind those specific moves.
