Shreyas Iyer: Virat Kohli Might Not Get Opening Chance
India captain Shreyas Iyer suggests Virat Kohli will have to wait for his opportunity despite performing well in recent tours.

Shreyas Iyer's Comments
India captain Shreyas Iyer has hinted that Virat Kohli might not get an opening chance in the upcoming New Zealand tour. Iyer, during an interview, advised Kohli to focus on his performance and not worry about the timing of his chances.
Iyer said, 'I just tell him to wait for his chance. If you keep working on your process, you won't feel the pressure and the chance will come. You have to be patient.'
Current Opening Batsmen
Currently, Sanju Samson and Abhilash Sharma are the first-choice openers for India. They have performed well in recent tournaments, including the T20 World Cup and the Asian Games.
In the recent series against West Indies, Samson and Sharma played well. Sanju Samson also took over during Virat Kohli's absence in the England tour, but Kohli was included in the squad for the Asian Games.
