Schedule: Salaried

About the Position

The Director of Data, AI & Enterprise Business Systems leads the people, platforms, and practices that support Reid Health ’s data, analytics, automation, AI governance, and enterprise business systems. This role turns data into trusted information for decision-making and keeps the systems that move, manage, and present that information reliable and effective.

Overview of Responsibilities

Strategy and Program Leadership

* Set and communicate the strategic plan, annual goals, and objectives for data, AI, automation, and enterprise systems.

* Create and champion an Analytics & Insights center of excellence.

* Work with business, clinical, and IT leaders to set priorities across the portfolio and hold the line when demand exceeds capacity.

* Represent the department in the development of organizational policies and procedures, and serve on committees as appropriate.

Data and AI Governance Own the operating side of data governance, including data definitions, ownership, stewardship, retention, and the enterprise data classification framework. Run the intake, review, documentation, and monitoring process for AI and machine learning models used in clinical or operational decisions, covering performance, drift, bias review, and retirement. Bring AI use cases through the AI Committee and keep model documentation current and defensible against the Reid AI governance policy and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework. Partner with Information Security on access controls, minimum necessary rules, and third party data sharing. Data Management Direct data engineering, the data platform, data architecture, and archiving across the health system. Own pipeline reliability, load schedules, and the health of the enterprise data warehouse. Set and enforce archiving and retention practice for retired applications and legacy data, in step with Legal, Compliance, and Health Information Management. Maintain a current inventory of source systems, data flows, and downstream dependencies. Enterprise Analytics Direct clinical and business analytics, including reporting, dashboards, self-service tools, advanced analytics, and data science. Own the Epic Cogito environment, including Caboodle and Clarity content, report certification, and analyst enablement. Make sure the same question returns the same number across Finance, Quality, and Operations. Support regulatory, quality, and value based care reporting obligations with accurate and repeatable data. Application Integration and Interfaces Direct the interface team and the interface engine, covering new builds, upgrades, monitoring, and break fix. Own integration standards, including HL7, FHIR, and API practice, and apply them to new applications before go live. Keep interface monitoring and alerting in place so failures are caught before a clinical or business user reports them. Robotic Process Automation and Testing Build and run the RPA program, from candidate process intake through build, deployment, and bot support. Track and report the hours returned and errors avoided for every bot in production. Own automated testing for enterprise systems, including regression testing tied to Epic and Workday release cycles. Workday ERP Platform Own the Workday platform roadmap, release adoption, configuration governance, and security model. Partner with Finance, Human Resources, and Supply Chain on process design so system changes follow business decisions instead of leading them. Manage Workday reporting, Prism content, and data feeds into and out of the platform. People and Leadership Provide coaching, mentoring, and strategic direction to managers and individual contributors across the portfolio. Plan and support professional development through performance evaluations, career development counseling, and on the job training. Own recruitment, selection, retention, counseling, discipline, and termination for all assigned departments. Build cross training and succession depth so no platform depends on one person. Service Delivery and Quality Own the satisfaction of the people across the health system who rely on these platforms and tools. Lead cross functional teams from project start through delivery, and hold projects to a clear business case. Run quality control across the full life cycle, from request intake through customer acceptance. Act as the escalation point for urgent or complex issues, support day to day production problems, and manage expectations. Participate in change management and release governance for all systems in the portfolio. Financial and Vendor Management

Develop and manage capital and operating budgets across the department. Oversee selection, deployment, and support of solutions and tools across the health system. Manage contracts, vendors, licensing, and renewals for data, analytics, AI, RPA, and Workday. Track consumption based pricing for cloud and AI services against budget on a monthly basis, and raise variances early.

This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and can be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management deems necessary.
