The Position

We seek a Senior Product Data Scientist who is deeply passionate about product and proactive in their approach.

This role isn't for the passive or the solitary worker. We're looking for a data-driven leader who will analyze our data, pinpoint customer challenges, and propose solutions, driving forward with enthusiasm and innovation.

You'll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Analytics to shape our product strategy, define metrics, and ensure our efforts have a direct impact on the end-user experience. Your work will fuel key features like lifetime value prediction, A/B testing, benchmarking, and innovative data-driven products yet to be conceived.

You’ll need to bring forward ideas grounded in analysis and hypotheses, influencing the product direction with robust data.

Our data infrastructure includes Python, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, dbt, and AWS.

Key Responsibilities

- Actively seek out insights from RevenueCat’s data to uncover problems, opportunities, and strategic bets. - Convert vague business questions into actionable analyses, models, and recommendations. - Collaborate with Product Managers to craft and steer product roadmaps, not just execute on them. - Develop and deploy production-ready predictive and descriptive models to enhance customer-facing features. - Design and assess statistical methods for experimentation, benchmarking, and forecasting. - Effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with a focus on user impact. - Continuously refine and optimize shipped models and features based on real-world data and feedback.

This is a role with significant ownership. You won't just support decisions; you'll help drive them.

What You'll Bring

- At least 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist. - Proficient SQL skills and experience with data modeling. - History of building and deploying production models in Python. - A robust understanding of statistics and experimentation, including Bayesian methods. - The ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences. - Proactivity, a strong opinionated mindset, and the ability to work with ambiguous data. - A dedication to creating value over academic perfection. - A passion for the consumer subscription ecosystem and a desire to contribute to developer revenue growth. - A knack for working closely with product teams and shaping decisions.

What You'll Achieve

- Within the first month, you'll familiarize yourself with our data models, get to know the team, and start working on ongoing data projects. - Within three months, you'll contribute to delivering a data feature to thousands of developers. - Within six months, you'll take ownership of a core data-driven feature and influence the roadmap with data-backed proposals. - Within a year, you'll lead new data-driven initiatives and set the stage for how data science operates at RevenueCat.
