About This Position

We are looking for enthusiastic English Language Arts Content Teachers to join our online teaching roster. The perfect candidates will have extensive experience in elementary English instruction (especially within U.S. public, private, or charter school settings), proficiency in teaching Reading, Speaking, and Writing, and a deep commitment to fostering literacy in young learners. You will contribute to dynamic live sessions based on Think Academy's ELA curriculum.

Responsibilities of an ELA Remote Teacher at Think Academy Include:

- Conduct online ELA classes that focus on Reading & Speaking and Reading & Writing skills. - Prepare and deliver structured lessons using Think Academy’s curriculum materials. - Engage and manage a virtual classroom of approximately 10 students. - Grade student assignments, provide timely feedback, and monitor student progress. - Communicate professionally with students and parents regarding academic goals and performance. - Participate in ongoing teacher training, curriculum discussions, and professional development.

What We Seek:

- Native-level English proficiency with a strong grasp of American English. - Prior U.S. public, private, or charter school ELA teaching experience (1st-4th grade focus is ideal). - A bachelor's degree (any field) is required; majors in Education, ELA, or English are preferred. - A solid understanding of elementary reading instruction, literacy development, and writing support. - Comfort and skill in using online teaching technology and managing a virtual classroom. - Enthusiasm, a student-centered approach, and the ability to motivate young learners.

Compensation and Benefits:

- Base Pay: Starting from $35 USD per teaching hour. - Non-Teaching Fee: $16-20/hour; Covers class preparation and after-class services such as grading homework, responding to parent messages, periodic feedback, etc. - Retention Bonus: Eligible for a student retention bonus (based on class retention performance). - Additional compensation for lesson planning, training, and professional development may apply.

Work Schedule:

- 40 hours per week, with classes often scheduled in afternoon and evening hours (U.S. time zones) and on weekends. - A commitment to a full semester (Spring, Summer, or Fall) is preferred.
