Additionally, we require a solid grasp of Lean 4, the proof assistant and programming language.

On a daily basis, you will craft and review intricate proofs, ensuring the mathematical reasoning is both correct and rigorous, and pinpointing any subtle conceptual or logical errors. You will also work closely with our team to develop and refine prompts, evaluation frameworks, and mathematical reasoning benchmarks, thereby enhancing the overall quality of our operations.

Ideal candidates will have a fluent command of Lean 4, a current or in-progress PhD in pure mathematics, or recent postdoc experience. You should be well-versed in essential topics like Markov’s and Chebyshev’s inequalities, Hoeffding bounds, convergence theorems, the Carathéodory extension theorem, the Riesz representation theorem, Banach-Alaoglu, Lax-Milgram, stochastic approximation, Van Kampen’s theorem, the Yoneda embedding, and representability in cohomology. Effective, metacognitive communication skills are also critical.
