A Pre-Construction Associate will support architects, engineers, project managers, and field teams in the early phases of project development, focusing on technical drafting, project coordination, and pre-construction documentation to ensure designs are accurate and aligned with project requirements.

What you will do: - Prepare detailed shop drawings, layouts, and multiple-view drafts using AutoCAD or similar CAD software. - Convert sketches, hand-drawn concepts, and architectural notes into precise digital drawings. - Ensure all designs comply with fabrication limitations, construction standards, and project specifications. - Maintain and continuously update the AutoCAD block library. - Assist architects and engineers with estimating, plan takeoffs, crowdsourcing, bid preparation, and other pre-construction deliverables. - Produce comprehensive planning reports and visual materials for client presentations. - Record and track daily and weekly project progress for internal monitoring and reporting. - Collaborate with project managers, field installers, and shop personnel to confirm field conditions and clarify design requirements. - Provide ongoing support to field teams during installation and fabrication stages. - Monitor, evaluate, and recommend improvements to urban plans or project layouts as needed. - Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications to verify accuracy and buildability. - Ensure that all documents, drafts, and revisions meet internal quality standards and client requirements.

What they are looking for: - Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field. - Minimum 3 years of recent AutoCAD experience; proficiency with ZWCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Photoshop is highly beneficial. - Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and architectural sketches. - Good mathematical and analytical skills, especially for computing dimensions and drawing contours. - Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. - Excellent time management and a proactive, self-starting attitude. - Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
