Benefits Verification Specialist - Remote
Pay: $17.00/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM EST Breaks: 1-hour unpaid lunch + two paid 15-minute breaks Work Setup: Remote | BYOD
Position Summary
We are seeking a Benefits Verification Specialist to verify patient insurance benefits and accurately document coverage information.
Responsibilities
* Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility.
* Review coverage, cost share, provider options, and restrictions.
* Contact insurance companies and document benefit details.
* Assist with prior authorizations and claims appeals when needed.
* Complete accurate data entry and quality reviews.
* Identify and escalate missing information or reimbursement issues.
Requirements
* High school diploma/GED required.
* 2+ years of related experience or a 2-year degree.
* Healthcare, insurance, medical billing, or customer service experience preferred.
* Benefits verification experience strongly preferred.
* Strong computer, communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
* Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Remote BYOD position | $17/hour
