About this job
Who We Are
Tameson runs a worldwide e-commerce shop that lets small and medium businesses buy industrial components online. We want a Head of Technical Content who will own our technical presence from start to finish.
The Role
Neither a plain copywriting job nor a pure strategist job. We want an engineer's brain paired with marketing instinct: a person who works things out, builds them, and ships them without waiting for instructions. Someone who knows our buyers, engineers and procurement teams at small and medium businesses buying industrial components, and knows what those buyers need before they commit to a purchase. Enthusiasm for building AI-driven content pipelines counts for more here than a lengthy CV.
Technical content is yours from strategy through publication, technical accuracy included. What you produce determines how engineers discover Tameson , where the site ranks, and whether a visitor becomes a customer. You partner closely with Product and Operations to pull out technical knowledge and convert it into content rivals cannot copy.
A Taste of the Work
* Review our solenoid valve categories, spot the gaps and weak performers, then judge whether the answer is a selection guide, a restructured page, JSON-LD, or extra supporting material. Build it, then measure how it performs.
* Convert our in-house valve performance test data into a full content series: articles, comparison tables, video scripts, email campaigns, social posts. Turn proprietary data into assets rivals cannot copy.
* Partner with industry players to reach their audiences via forums, paid placements, or native articles hosted on their platforms.
* Dig into pages that pull traffic but fail to convert. Work out whether the cause sits in traffic quality, content quality, or conversion, ship a fix, and measure the result against sales.
* Learn a product you barely know, write a buyer guide, verify it against manufacturer datasheets, and publish with no technical reviewer behind you.
Key Outcomes & Responsibilities
* End-to-End Ownership: Spot the holes in our content, style, and approach. The fix belongs to you from first idea to published page. No task list handed to you. Study the site, spot the openings, ship the changes that move the needle hardest.
* Strategic Content Architecture: The converting format is your call. An article works sometimes, but plenty of customers instead need a flow calculator, a comparison table, a better category page, a tooltip, a diagram, a video, or a selection wizard. Build whichever fits, to grow the brand and convert users.
* Technical Authority & Accuracy: Every public-facing piece is accurate because you made it so. Strong engineering knowledge is essential so you can verify data, fix errors, and confirm our advice holds up. You are the filter stopping AI hallucinations or mistakes before a customer sees them.
* Build the Content Moat: Produce unique value neither competitors nor AI models can copy. Push past text into proprietary assets: physical product benchmarks, expert interviews, in-depth technical diagrams or videos.
* Optimize for the Audience: Shape information so our content ranks well in search engines, becomes a go-to citation source for AI models, and gives humans (engineers, non-engineers, buyers, etc.) clear, useful guidance.
* Agile Adaptation: Keep ahead of marketing trends, let data lead. When a format stops delivering, change course. Watch traffic and conversion metrics and keep sharpening the strategy.
Requirements
What We Want to See
* High Engineering Knowledge: An engineering background, deep time spent in technical industries, and the ability to explain our products' physics without strain.
* Builds With AI: You have designed and built AI content workflows: research pipelines, structured drafting processes, automated publishing steps. You picked the tools, wired them together, and stand behind the output quality.
* Outcome Owner: Results drive you (traffic, conversion, revenue), not volume (article or word count). You run the roadmap and deliver end-to-end.
* Collaborative Investigator: No silos. You seek out Product and Operations to mine their internal expertise. You work alongside them and turn their knowledge into public-facing content that separates us from rivals.
* Versatile Creator: Format switching suits you. Inside 1 week you could write a white paper, design calculator logic, review category pages, and build dashboards to analyze results.
Why Tameson ?
* Direct Business Impact: Sales track your work. Publish the right guide and you can see organic traffic and conversions climb. A straight line runs from what you make to company revenue.
* Innovation: Aggressive, modern company. Experimenting with fresh formats, tools, and strategies is encouraged.
* Company culture: Collaboration, professional growth, and fun matter to us. Company activities happen regularly, online and offline, to keep everyone connected and inspired.
* Growth: We are scaling fast. Our expansion widens your professional opportunities.
Work Conditions
* Employment type: Full time position (remote).
* Working hours: Flexible work hours, with availability required Monday through Friday and a minimum overlap of 12:00-17:00 GMT+1.
* Contract type: You come aboard as an independent contractor. Hiring beyond our registered countries is simpler through freelance contracts, so that is how we engage global talent.
Ready to shape where industrial e-commerce goes next? If your technical mind can grasp our products and your strategic mind can market them, apply today.
