Scope of Work

- Offer specialized insight into atomic, molecular, and optical (AMO) physics, with a focus on the optical characteristics of materials. - Examine and evaluate ab initio configuration interaction methods for determining polarizability in atomic systems. - Provide advice and critique on atomic-structure computations, specifically for Yb-171 and Yb-174 isotopes. - Differentiate and explain sigma and pi transitions in relevant atomic spectra, delving into the underlying physical principles. - Engage in adaptive, verbal AI interviews, answering one question at a time and supplying clear, concrete examples from legally shareable research or projects.

Preferred Qualifications

- Advanced educational background (Master's, PhD, or equivalent experience) in Physics, with a concentration in AMO physics or optical material properties. - Demonstrated proficiency with ab initio quantum chemistry calculations, especially in configuration interaction methods for polarizability. - In-depth knowledge of atomic-structure computation techniques, particularly those applied to ytterbium isotopes (Yb-171 and Yb-174). - Strong ability to identify and articulate sigma vs pi transitions in atomic contexts. - Proven skill in clear, organized scientific communication in both written and verbal formats.
