Amy Dowden Responds to Brendan Cole Criticism
Strictly Come Dancing professional Amy Dowden addressed Brendan Cole's comments about her performance.

Amy Dowden's Social Media Clapback
Strictly Come Dancing professional Amy Dowden responded to former pro Brendan Cole's criticism of her performance on the show.
Cole, who competed on Strictly from 2004 to 2017, recently stated that Dowden has 'not been up to the challenge' in recent years and has not been doing a 'very good job'.
In response, Dowden shared a video on Instagram where she blew a kiss to the camera and lip-synced to the opening lines of Mariah Carey’s 2009 track 'Obsessed'. She wrote, 'If you know, you know.'
Dowden's Recent Elimination
Dowden, who took a hiatus from the show in 2023 to undergo treatment for grade three breast cancer, was eliminated from the 2026 series after losing the dance-off to Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu.
This marks the first elimination of the 2026 season, following Chris Appleton's early exit in the previous week.
