Threat to Leak GTA 6
A group calling itself CyberLeek has warned that it will release the full build of Grand Theft Auto VI, including the story mode and end credits, if its memecoin's market cap reaches $30 million.
According to IGN, CyberLeek's memecoin's market cap increased to $5.7 million after the warning was reported on social media. The group stated, 'Take-Two gets one way out: physical disks and a public apology. They can take it at any moment. Or they can gamble that CL is bluffing. Everyone knows which one they'll pick.'
Previous Leaks and Threats
The group has a history of leaking parts of Grand Theft Auto VI, including 24 minutes of gameplay, cutscenes, and story details. They also threatened other publishers, stating, 'If CyberLeek can reach Rockstar, no one is safe.'
In response, Take-Two filed subpoenas against Microsoft, Discord, and X to obtain the identity of an alleged infringer or infringers, and used a take-down request to Discord to remove unauthorized leaked gameplay footage.
