Job Title: Senior Accountant Job Type: Full-time Location: Remote Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Accountant to own our general ledger and month-end close processes. You will be part of our financial reporting function - ensuring books are accurate, close timelines are met, and the integrity of our financial data supports confident decision-making at every level of the organization. Key Responsibilities:

* Own the end-to-end month-end close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments

* Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly

* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP

* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all accounts are substantiated and documented

* Support external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and reconciliations

* Identify and implement improvements to the close process to reduce cycle time and increase accuracy

* Partner with leadership to ensure financial data is audit-ready and decision-ready at all times

* Maintain and strengthen internal controls around the close and reporting cycle

R equired Skills and Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CA preferred

* 3-5 years of accounting experience with a clear focus on G/L and month-end close

* Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting system

* Strong command of Google Sheets and Excel

* Deep knowledge of GAAP, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation

* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage tight close deadlines without sacrificing accuracy

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

* Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, fast-paced startup environment

Preferred Qualifications:

* CPA license, or progress toward professional certification

* Exposure to AI tools or automated accounting workflows

Compensation & Benefits Notice The national pay range for this full-time position is base salary of $90,000 -$120,000 USD.
