Position Overview:

As a Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for reviewing, preparing, and filing tax returns, reconciling financial data, and acting as a client liaison throughout the tax preparation process. You will work with various tax filing systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission of all filings. Responsibilities

* Review and analyze client tax and revenue data to prepare accurate returns.

* Prepare supporting workpapers and reconcile client ledgers to imported tax data.

* Facilitate and process state and local tax filings-both paper and online-and ensure timely payments.

* Communicate with clients throughout the tax preparation process and act as a client representative with applicable agencies as needed.

* Maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and referrals.

* Process business renewal applications and exemption certifications.

Qualifications

Required:

* Bachelor’s degree (math degree preferred) or equivalent experience in accounting.

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.

* Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other digital tools.

* Strong communication skills for interaction with internal and external clients.

* Effective prioritization and time management skills to meet tax deadlines.

Preferred:

* Familiarity with telecommunications industry tax requirements.

* Experience with tax preparation software.
