The Role:

On behalf of a client, we're hiring a Senior Business Central Developer to own technical design, build, and customization for core Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions. Day to day, you'll run complex ERP extensions end to end: shaping solid AL codebases, wiring in third-party systems through web services, and tuning database speed across multi-tenant cloud setups.

What we are looking for:

* 5+ years working specifically on Dynamics 365 Business Central software development (plus legacy Dynamics NAV), at expert level in AL language, custom page and report extensions, codeunits, and event subscribers.

* Solid grasp, functionally and technically, of the standard Business Central modules: Finance (GL, AP, AR), Supply Chain, Inventory, Purchasing, and Sales.

* Broad track record linking Business Central to outside systems, CRMs, and e-commerce platforms via RESTful web services, OData, JSON, and OAuth2 authentication.

* Writing automated unit and integration tests every day with the AL Test Framework, applying test isolation and mocks so upgrades stay stable.

* Demonstrated history of handling source code, versioning, and automated build pipelines through GitHub Actions, AL Go for GitHub, or Azure DevOps.

* Thorough knowledge of SQL Server fundamentals, Business Central telemetry, index tuning, and performance profiling, enough to clear lockups and slow-running queries.

Nice-to-have:

* Hands-on time with Microsoft AppSource validation workflows and technical compliance checks.

* Working knowledge of the wider Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and Dataverse synchronization.

* Some contact with Azure cloud services (Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Key Vault).

* History of moving legacy C/AL codebases (Dynamics NAV) over to modern AL extensions.

Responsibilities:

* Build and look after scalable Business Central extensions in AL, using event-driven architectures to customize ERP business logic without mess.

* Design secure web service integrations between Business Central and outside applications (ERPs, CRMs, banking networks, e-commerce storefronts).

* Read system logs and telemetry through Business Central performance profilers and Application Insights to clear locking, slow requests, and resource bottlenecks.

* Set up and run automated build, test, and release workflows with GitHub Actions and AL Go across development, staging, and production environments.

* Hold coding standards firm, run peer code reviews, and keep codebases in line with Microsoft's technical guidelines for cloud upgrades and AppSource publication.
