About this job

About Enode

The power grid was originally designed for consistent, centralized energy supply. Today, it's evolving to integrate variable energy sources like grid-scale solar and wind alongside dynamic demands from electric vehicles (EVs), heat pumps, and home storage systems. The key to unlocking this potential is advanced software that can coordinate and manage these diverse components at scale.

Enode delivers the essential software infrastructure to achieve this integration. Our Connect API provides a seamless integration with over 1000 devices from more than 80 brands. Our optimization tools empower energy companies to manage these devices locally—think smart charging for EVs. Our Flex product transforms these connected devices into a flexible, controllable asset for energy companies.

We collaborate with manufacturers across the energy hardware landscape, from EV brands to heat pump and solar inverter producers. Our clients include energy retailers, utilities, and traders working towards the future of energy services. Our backing includes Y Combinator, Lowercarbon Capital, and Creandum.

The decisions made now will shape the future of the energy system. We are seeking individuals who are proactive, adaptable, and deeply committed to the role technology can play in the energy transition.

What We're Looking For

Enode's infrastructure is at the heart of some of Europe's most innovative consumer energy solutions. The customer platform is where our customers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) manage, monitor, and scale their integrations with us. Currently, it's focused on operational tooling. This role aims to transform it into a strategic layer that makes Enode indispensable.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the customer platform into a proactive intelligence layer that helps our customers connect, optimize, and scale their asset pools. This role also involves ensuring that OEM partners gain insights into the performance of their hardware in real-world use cases.

We serve three key segments: energy companies that integrate with us, consumers whose devices run through Enode, and OEMs that manufacture the assets. The platform must cater to all these stakeholders. You will be responsible for maintaining this vision from initial principles to commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities

* Platform Vision and Roadmap: Define the strategy, defend it, and present it commercially around retention, expansion, and cost reduction. * Time to Value: Own onboarding as a product. Establish what "activated" means at both layers: ensuring the customer's integration is live, and their end-users are connected and retain their connections. Address the common failure point of B2B2C platforms. * Self-Serve at Scale: Prioritize automation and in-platform guidance to reduce costs as the customer base grows. * Data as a Product: Lead the discovery and delivery of insights that help customers evaluate performance, mitigate churn risk, and make evidence-based decisions. Extend this intelligence to OEM partners. * Positioning and Enablement: Own the messaging, launch strategy, and commercial enablement.

Key Success Metrics

* Time from sign-up to first live use case. * Activation rates at both layers. * Declining self-serve resolution rates as the customer base grows. * Deepening OEM integrations. * Clear connection between your north-star metrics and retention, expansion, and financial performance.

Ideal Candidate

* Significant experience in B2B product management, particularly in platform, developer tooling, or B2B SaaS, especially in B2B2C structures where direct and end-users are distinct. * Ability to connect product metrics to commercial outcomes, with a history of launching across Sales, Support, and Customer Success. * Strong understanding of APIs, SDKs, and data flows, with the ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams and test-drive shipped features. * Integration of AI in daily product work, with a well-defined perspective on its role and limitations. * Spec and framework documentation that serves as a benchmark for other product managers. Willing to set high standards.

* Bonus: experience in energy tech, IoT, or climate; background in AI-powered product capabilities; experience with robust documentation and onboarding as a growth driver.

What We Offer

* Opportunity to join and impact an early-stage climate tech startup with global ambitions as we scale. * A mission-driven, fun, and caring work environment with high drive and ambition. * Competitive compensation, including an attractive employee option program—part of our journey. * Access to top-tier AI tools, reflecting the potential of small teams. * Remote-first setup in Europe, with flexible options to work from Oslo or anywhere in Europe. * Three annual off-sites in exciting and fun locations. * Flexible, human-first culture. * Stipend for setting up your home office.

Additional Information

* Enode is an equal opportunities employer. Don’t let a mismatch in qualifications discourage you from applying. If you're excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly, we encourage you to apply. You may be the right candidate for this or other roles.

* Our values are integral to our way of working and are embedded into all hiring processes. You can read more about our values [here](#).
