Summer Intern (Ecommerce Operations) - Other jobs, remote

Inspiration Commerce Group is hiring a Summer Intern (Ecommerce Operations) - a junior role, which makes it one of the rarer ways into the international market. The role sits in Other jobs and is fully remote. The company hires candidates based in Europe.

The advert singles out SQL, so experience with that one tool is what will decide it.

The employer did not publish a figure; that is settled at interview. The advert sets no condition on working hours.

This vacancy passed an automated check: the list excludes any advert requiring a foreign work permit, visa sponsorship, a particular citizenship, or residence in a specific country.

About this job

About Inspiration Commerce Group (ICG)

We are a dynamic team of approximately 50 professionals who have achieved six acquisitions in just 18 months, growing from zero to over $100 million in revenue. Our global presence spans the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. We focus on acquiring and developing companies that assist people in finding and purchasing the products they love. Our portfolio includes well-known fashion marketplaces like Italist, HEWI, and Verishop, affiliate marketing platforms such as Stylight and MyBestBrands, B2B technology solutions like Bonsai, and niche marketplaces in the Creator and Construction sectors, including Everpress and DOZR.

The Role

We are seeking a Summer Intern (Ecommerce Operations) to join our team at the Italist luxury fashion marketplace.

Over the summer, you will spearhead a series of pilot projects from our backlog, testing and experimenting to identify what works and what doesn't. You will have the chance to utilize AI in your work and develop skills in areas such as Account Management, Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), Pricing Strategy, and Data Analysis/Business Intelligence.

This is a hands-on role where you will not merely create presentations and plans but will take on project briefs and execute the work. This is a full-time position over the summer, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time or part-time after the internship. We are open to current students, recent graduates, and those looking to change or return to their career paths.

This is a full-time, remote-first opportunity based in Canada, the UK, or the EU.

What You Will Work On

- Pilot Projects: You will take on project briefs, launch new initiatives swiftly, and iterate based on data. You will then present your findings so we can decide which initiatives to prioritize long-term. - Reporting & Data Analysis: You will delve into data across our business to uncover insights and make data-driven recommendations. You will learn to query data using SQL via AI interfaces, build reports and dashboards, and set up alerts and monitoring with various integrations. - Building with AI: We are transitioning to an AI-first approach, and you will be part of this transformation. You will write code, build prototypes, manage API integrations, and create automations through tools like Claude Cowork and Cursor.

Attitudes

We value candidates who align with our core principles:

- Competitive and Ambitious: You are driven and always seek an edge. You set high standards for yourself and those around you. - Resourceful and Resilient: You are willing to take on challenges that others might avoid to achieve what others can't. Sacrifices are part of the pursuit of greatness. - Owner Mindset: You take ownership of your work. If something breaks, you fix it. If there’s an opportunity, you pursue it. You never say "that's not my job." - Curious and Action-Oriented: You ask questions and dig deep to find solutions, then implement them. - Permissionless: You take initiative and act without needing explicit permission. - Self-Driven and Proactive: You are eager to dive into the details and make things happen. You overcome obstacles to get things done.

Who This Role Is For

- Someone who has been working with AI and is eager to apply these skills to real-world challenges in a growing business. - Someone with a background in entrepreneurship and a desire to launch their own business or startup. - Someone willing to work diligently over the summer to rapidly develop skills. - Someone who thrives in dynamic environments and can quickly adapt to new challenges.

Who This Role Is Not For

- People seeking a stable, predictable, or repetitive role. - Individuals looking for detailed guidance and mentorship; we prefer self-directed learning. - People who prefer managing teams over handling details. - Individuals who prefer a structured playbook over flexibility and innovation. - People who avoid diving deep into data analysis and prefer a more stable environment.

Logistics/Next Steps

- Application Process: We aim to respond to all applications within three days. Our process includes calls with 2-3 members of our team. - Work Setup: We operate on a remote-first basis with periodic in-person meetings as needed. - Working Hours: We trust our team members to manage their schedules, believing that taking time off to recharge contributes to long-term productivity. We typically work until 6 pm to protect personal time and often stay late to finish tasks. We are excited to see how you can contribute to our growth and innovation.
