About this job

We are seeking experienced travel professionals and seasoned trip planners to enhance and refine realistic travel scenarios utilized in training AI travel assistants. Your role isn't about creating itineraries, but rather assessing and improving these scenarios to ensure they genuinely challenge the AI's decision-making capabilities. ‼️ The use of AI is strictly prohibited. Any detected AI involvement will disqualify your application. ⚠️ This application must be submitted entirely in English. 🚨 READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION TO UNDERSTAND THE APPLICATION PROCESS. ELIGIBILITY

* Travel professionals and experienced trip planners

* At least 3 years of relevant travel planning experience (professional or high-volume personal)

* Advanced or fluent English proficiency (required)

APPLICATION PROCESS (QUICK SCREENING TEST) You will evaluate two pre-generated travel tasks. For each task, you'll rate them on a 1-5 scale and provide a brief explanation. For the second task, you will also enhance it to make it more robust. WHAT “STRONG” MEANS (SIMPLE DEFINITION) A strong task should incorporate a decisive feasibility constraint that can significantly alter the plan if overlooked (such as a missed train, check-in deadline, or a closed attraction). We refer to this as a "Decisive Constraint":

* A Decisive Constraint is a factor that changes the viability of the travel plan if ignored.

* Quick test: If you remove it, the "optimal plan" would change meaningfully.

Examples of Decisive Constraints in Travel

* Last train, last entry, or check-in cut-off times

* Closures or holidays that affect travel options

* Ambiguous locations (such as confusing airport or station names)

* Sequential dependencies (if one step fails, subsequent steps become impossible)

* Mobility constraints that impact routing feasibility

RATINGS (1-5) IN THE FORM For each task, you will provide three ratings:

* Overall Quality (1-5)

How clear and testable is the task (can you determine a clear pass/fail outcome)?

* Decisive Constraint Strength (1-5)

Is there a critical feasibility constraint - or is the "additional context" just extra detail that doesn't impact the plan?

* Checklist Quality (1-5)

Does the checklist effectively test feasibility and the Decisive Constraint with clear criteria? (Strong checklists include verification steps and avoid inventing logistics, written as pass/fail - not "be helpful.")

Additionally, you will write a brief explanation (2-4 points) justifying your ratings. ENHANCE THE TASK (FOR THE 2ND TASK ONLY) You will refine the following aspects to make the task more robust:

* Scenario (3rd person) - make it more realistic and naturally introduce the feasibility risk

* Prompt (user message) - natural and human-like, without revealing the Decisive Constraint

* Decisive Constraint (1-3 points) - include exactly one decisive feasibility constraint

* Checklist (4-6 items) - each item must be pass/fail, covering:

* Feasibility/verification (minimum unknowns to check)

* The Decisive Constraint (the decision-flipping constraint)

* No invented logistics (no made-up schedules, hours, or availability)

* Branching plan (Plan A / Plan B) when feasibility depends on one missing answer

* Safety only when there is genuine risk

Example of a Checklist Item: PASS if it highlights what must be verified (tickets, hours, cut-off times) before making a commitment; FAIL if it confidently invents times or availability. Important: Do not "leak" the Decisive Constraint in the prompt (no "IMPORTANT", no all-caps, no "the key detail is…"). IF SELECTED (PROJECT WORK) You will review batches of pre-generated travel scenarios:

* Assessing realism and feasibility risks

* Identifying weak or missing constraints (Decisive Constraints)

* Improving tasks to better reflect real-life travel moments where incorrect advice could result in missed connections, financial loss, or ruined plans

COMPENSATION Payment will be $30 per approved task, converted and paid in your local currency. Each task takes approximately 40 minutes, which corresponds to an effective rate of about $45 per hour. WHAT WE ARE SEEKING

* The ability to discern what is realistic versus generic in travel planning

* Understanding of what truly impacts feasibility (cutoffs, closures, dependencies, ambiguous locations)

* The skill to elevate a "good" scenario into a strong feasibility test without making it artificial
