Why This Role Matters:
As a Missions Sales Director, you will spearhead the sale of sovereign satellite and ISR missions to government clients in the Nordics. Your role will focus on fostering growth, trust, and enduring partnerships, thereby positioning ICEYE as the leading provider of defense-focused space ISR solutions.
You will oversee the entire sales cycle for Missions satellite programs, from identifying and shaping opportunities to finalizing multi-year contracts. Through the establishment of strategic alliances with government entities and key decision-makers, you will enhance ICEYE’s market presence, drive sustainable revenue growth, and ensure customer success by coordinating efforts across ICEYE’s Missions and Data divisions.

Daily Responsibilities:
- Lead Revenue Growth: Drive regional sales growth for ICEYE’s Missions business in the Nordics. - Opportunity Management: Identify, shape, qualify, and close sovereign satellite and ISR mission opportunities with government clients. - Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain trusted relationships with government stakeholders, defense organizations, and key decision-makers. - Pipeline Management: Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, including capture plans, win strategies, and accurate forecasting. - Strategic Sales Leadership: Lead complex sales processes, including opportunity reviews, bid or no-bid decisions, proposal coordination, and commercial positioning. - Cross-Department Collaboration: Work across ICEYE’s Missions and Data divisions to align customer needs, technical capabilities, and delivery plans. - Market Representation: Engage with customers, participate in industry events, and foster strategic stakeholder relationships. - CRM Discipline: Maintain strong CRM practices and provide valuable market insights to support business planning and decision-making.
Qualifications We Seek:
- Experience: At least 5 years of strategic sales or business development experience in aerospace, defense, space, ISR, earth observation, or related government sectors. - International Experience: At least 5 years of international sales or export experience with complex solutions. - Government Sales: Experience selling to government customers, defense organizations, or public sector decision-makers. - Network: Existing connections within relevant government and government-related organizations in the Nordics. - Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of earth observation, ISR, or satellite-based capabilities, preferably including SAR. - Sales Cycle Management: Proven ability to run complex sales cycles, including lead qualification, opportunity development, capture planning, stakeholder mapping, and deal closure. - Language Proficiency: Professional working proficiency in one or more Nordic languages, with additional Nordic languages being a significant asset. - Travel: Willingness to travel as required, primarily within the region and to Finland.
Nice to Have:
- Military or Defense Experience: Previous experience in military, defense, intelligence, or security sectors. - Capture Planning: Experience in producing capture plans and delivering against win strategies. - Sales Success: Track record of closing value-based sales with a strong focus on customer success. - Multi-Department Leadership: Experience leading multi-department sales pursuits, gate reviews, bid processes, and competitive analysis. - CRM Tools: Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM. - Sales Training: Background in Miller Heiman, Korn Ferry, Shipley, or a similar sales methodology.

The base salary range for this position is 100,000 - 150,000 EUR per year, gross, and will be negotiated individually.
