Member Company: Convelo Insurance Group The core mission of the Excess and Surplus Lines Package Underwriter role is to assess, evaluate, price, and oversee unique human and social service accounts, ensuring that the terms, conditions, and pricing align with the goal of sustainable and profitable business growth. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

* Assess new non-standard business proposals for their suitability, appropriate pricing, and potential profitability.

* Rate, quote, and finalize coverage on new and renewal business opportunities, ensuring the use of suitable terms, conditions, and rates in collaboration with producer partners to successfully bind business

* Maintain underwriting records and prepare necessary reports and presentations as required

* Serve as a bridge between various departments, such as accounting, claims, and loss control.

* Approve and issue endorsement requests in accordance with underwriting and service guidelines

* Collaborate with other underwriters and departments to promote multi-line sales on individual accounts

* Develop and maintain robust relationships with both internal and external producer partners

* Ensure that all terms and conditions comply with regulatory requirements.

* Perform additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

* At least 3-5 years of experience in Property & Casualty E&S underwriting

* In-depth knowledge of insurance rating, forms, and coverages

* Capability to make timely decisions based on adequate information and consultation

* Excellent negotiation skills

* A proven history of building strong business relationships with agents and insured parties

* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve results

* Industry certifications (CPCU, AU) are beneficial
