Alvarez to Arsenal and Balogun to Everton as window closes

Several Premier League clubs are still working to complete signings before the summer transfer window shuts at 23:00 BST on Tuesday, according to BBC Sport. The window opened on 15 June.
BBC Sport describes a possible move for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez to Arsenal as the biggest deal to watch. The 26 year old Argentine wants to leave Atletico, but the Spanish club refuses to sell him to Barcelona and would instead do a deal with Arsenal, who are asking to pay a fee reported by BBC Sport at 150m euros (£128m).
Alvarez has missed multiple training sessions and did not travel to face Sevilla on Saturday, with Atletico head coach Diego Simeone saying he was not well enough. Simeone said he will "do everything" he can to make Alvarez feel important when he returns to training.
Midfield moves and Chelsea's turnover
Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez missed Sunday's Premier League win over Brighton, and BBC Sport reports his future is under increasing uncertainty amid links with a move to Manchester City. Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca previously worked with the Argentina international at Chelsea and needs to rebuild after the departures of Rodri, Bernardo Silva, Nico Gonzalez and Tijjani Reijnders.
Any deal would likely be a Manchester City club record, passing the £116m paid for Elliot Anderson earlier in the summer. His exit could open the door for Monaco's Lamine Camara to join Chelsea as a replacement, which would be the club's 13th incoming deal of the window.
Chelsea have let more than 30 players go and are expected to beat the Premier League player sales record of £300m they set last season. Mykhailo Mudryk is seeking a loan, while BBC Sport says the futures of Pedro Neto and Tosin Adarabioyo remain unclear.
Balogun, Nyoni and Sanchez
The Athletic reports that Everton have reached an agreement with Monaco for United States international striker Folarin Balogun. Monaco sources told the publication the deal is an initial 45m euros (£38.58m) plus 5m euros in add ons, while Everton sources put it in the region of £40m. Personal terms for the 25 year old are still being finalised.
Liverpool have rejected a £30m bid from Nottingham Forest for 19 year old midfielder Trey Nyoni, made up of £25m guaranteed plus £5m in add ons. The Athletic reports that new head coach Andoni Iraola is counting on the England youth international this season.
Chelsea have a verbal agreement with Como for goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to join the Serie A club on a season long loan. The Athletic also reports that a proposed move for Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo to Manchester City is off, though the sources do not set out why the talks BBC Sport described ended.
