Man City sign Enzo Fernandez in joint-British record deal
Premier League clubs spent a record £3.41bn over the summer, with Mudryk joining Tottenham on loan and Grealish moving to Everton.

The record signing
Manchester City have signed midfielder Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea in a £125m deal, according to BBC Sport, which describes the fee as a joint-British record.
BBC Sport reports that Manchester City spent £458m in a single transfer window, a Premier League record that passes the £415m Liverpool spent last summer. Across the league, spending reached £3.41bn, breaking the record for a second straight summer.
Chelsea, meanwhile, appear to have received a world-record amount in transfer fees over the window, £425m, BBC Sport reports.
Mudryk and Adarabioyo to Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur signed Ukraine winger Mykhailo Mudryk on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season, with an option to make the move permanent for £75m. Chelsea's own website describes it as a season-long loan.
The move reunites Mudryk, 25, with Spurs head coach Roberto de Zerbi, who managed him at Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine before his 2023 move to Chelsea. Mudryk resolved a doping case with the Football Association last month and has not played a competitive match since November 2024.
Spurs also completed a permanent deal for defender Tosin Adarabioyo, 28, worth up to £12m. He is the club's 10th signing of a summer in which they have spent more than £300m. Tottenham had earlier failed in attempts to sign Iliman Ndiaye and Liverpool's Cody Gakpo.
Other deals and collapsed moves
Ndiaye joined Manchester City from Everton, while Jack Grealish moved to Everton. Sunderland signed Belgium winger Malick Fofana from Lyon and took Kevin Danso on loan from Tottenham.
Fulham signed Elche centre-back David Affengruber, 25, for an undisclosed fee. Aston Villa paid Southampton £29m for defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis, and Crystal Palace signed Ben Chilwell from RC Strasbourg and Quinten Timber from Marseille.
Not every deal held. Folarin Balogun's move to Everton collapsed after the player decided against it, Monaco pulled out of sending Camara to Chelsea, and striker Tammy Abraham turned down Everton to stay at Aston Villa under manager Unai Emery.
Deadlines and timings
The window for Premier League and English Football League clubs closed at 23:00 BST on Tuesday. Deals could still be completed after that point if clubs submitted a deal sheet by 21:00 BST.
Scottish Premiership clubs face a deadline of 17:00 BST on Thursday, with Women's Super League clubs given until 23:00 BST the same day.
The sources do not give the full terms of several deals, including the Fernandez contract length or the fees for a number of undisclosed transfers.
