As a Data Software Engineer at Dune, you will play a crucial role in scaling our data platform to handle increasing volumes of blockchain data. This role involves deep thinking about large-scale distributed systems and databases, making it ideal for those passionate about these topics.

Key Features of Dune's Data Platform:

- Ingests and processes massive amounts of data (petabytes) - Supports third-party data ingestion - Enables efficient SQL queries across datasets

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop distributed systems in a principled manner, contributing to high-impact architectural decisions - Tackle technical challenges in areas such as distributed systems, large databases, SQL processing, data modeling, or system performance - Own components within our blockchain data platform, including data ingestion and decoding - Write code primarily in Kotlin and Go, with some Java and Rust, focusing on good design and performance - Improve the internal developer experience by enhancing local test setups, integration tests, and deployment processes - Continuously improve platform operations, including exploring opportunities to automate incident diagnosis and resolution using AI - Collaborate with one of the fastest engineering teams globally - Develop AI agents for automation

- You are a versatile individual with strong foundational computer science knowledge, capable of adapting to new technologies and scenarios - You have experience in distributed system design or a willingness to learn if you are a more junior engineer.
