Job Summary We are seeking a seasoned Android Software Engineer to join our mobile development team and play a key role in evolving our existing Android application. The ideal candidate will have strong Android development expertise, enjoy solving complex technical problems, and be passionate about delivering high-quality mobile experiences. Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, test, and deploy new features for an existing Android application.
* Write clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable Android code.
* Contribute to application architecture and technical strategy.
* Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and deliver solutions.
* Improve application performance, reliability, and overall user experience.
* Stay current with Android platform updates, technologies, and industry best practices.
* Promote coding, testing, and design best practices.
* Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering excellence.
Requirements Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
* Strong professional experience building and shipping Android applications/features.
* Proficiency in Kotlin.
* Deep understanding of Android SDKs and APIs across different OS versions.
* Experience working with large-scale applications and complex architectures.
* Experience with RESTful APIs, HTTP, and asynchronous data handling.
* Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
* Experience with performance optimization.
* Understanding of UI/UX principles and collaboration with design teams.
* Experience with Git/version control.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred / Plus
* Experience with Jetpack Compose.
* Experience contributing to architectural and technical decisions.
* Experience mentoring junior Android developers.
