QA/QC Intern - IT and programming, remote
Flowmingo is hiring a QA/QC Intern - a junior role, which makes it one of the rarer ways into the international market. The role sits in IT and programming and is fully remote. The company places no restriction on where the candidate lives, so you can apply from anywhere.
The employer did not publish a figure; that is settled at interview. The advert sets no condition on working hours.
This vacancy passed an automated check: the list excludes any advert requiring a foreign work permit, visa sponsorship, a particular citizenship, or residence in a specific country.

About this job
About Flowmingo AI
Flowmingo is a Y Combinator-backed startup, supported by VinaCapital and leading global investors, dedicated to making hiring more accessible. We believe the current hiring process is flawed: recruiters can only manage to interview 5% of applicants, leaving 95% of potential talent, the "hidden gems," undiscovered. Our solution is an AI-driven, high-volume interviewing platform designed to revolutionize the hiring landscape. We offer our tool for free to recruiters, enabling us to capture the vast, untapped markets in Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa, where traditional, costly platforms struggle to reach significant volumes of candidates.
The QA Challenge
This internship is not about identifying bugs in a simple click-through test. You will be the final line of defense for a platform that millions of candidates rely on during critical moments, such as securing a job. A key challenge you'll tackle is the "Device Fragmentation" issue: ensuring our AI Speech-to-Text works seamlessly on budget phones in Jakarta as it does on high-end devices in Singapore.
What You Will Do
- Comprehensive Testing: You will rigorously test our AI interview flow across a wide range of mobile devices and browsers, uncovering edge cases that only arise in real-world scenarios. - Proactive Bug Hunting: You will simulate user experiences to identify potential issues before our customers do. For example, what happens if the internet connection drops mid-interview, or if the user denies camera permissions?
- Release Coordination: You will collaborate closely with the Engineering and Product teams to ensure that only high-quality updates are released. If you identify a critical bug, the release will be halted.
- Process Enhancement: You will identify gaps in our testing processes and propose improvements to catch bugs earlier, leveraging data from user feedback.
- Clear Documentation: You will translate complex bug reports into detailed, actionable engineering tickets, providing precise steps to reproduce the issues.
Who You Are
- Attention to Detail: You notice when a button is 2 pixels off or when a loading spinner takes too long to spin.
- Technical Proficiency: You are adept at using browser developer tools and understanding network errors.
- User Empathy: You understand that a bug is more than just an error; it can mean a candidate misses out on a job opportunity.
- Logical Problem Solver: You can isolate variables to find the root cause of a bug, not just the symptoms.
- Bonus: A strong interest in technology products, data analytics, or coding, with a deep curiosity about how things work under the hood, is a significant advantage.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Pay: Monthly compensation based on your experience level. - YC Insights: Learn from the Y Combinator playbook and gain insights into how Silicon Valley startups build and scale. - Real Impact: Your work will directly influence the user experience for thousands of people. - Mentorship: You will work closely with the Founder and Product team.
Application Process
- Please fill out the application form on the right and submit your CV. A 30-minute AI interview will appear on the next screen. Completing the interview is mandatory. You can do it immediately or save the link for later, but early submissions will receive priority processing.
Location: Remote (Global) Employment Type: Internship Compensation: Stipend + potential full-time offer
