We are offering a freelance role-play project for the Safety Initiative - Emotional Distress track. This project aims to assess how AI systems handle sensitive conversations involving emotional distress, suicidal thoughts, and depression. The goal is to determine if the AI can respond with empathy, responsibility, and appropriate safety awareness in high-risk emotional scenarios.

In this role-play, you will participate in structured, multi-turn conversations with an AI, portraying a specific persona and scenario. Your task is to bring these scenarios to life in a realistic, emotionally authentic manner, maintaining character consistency throughout the conversation. These interactions will later be reviewed by clinical experts to evaluate the AI's responses.

Note: This role-play track is part of a larger Safety initiative. Performers who excel may be invited to participate in future safety-related projects. What You'll Do

* Engage in role-play-only, multi-turn conversations with an AI, embodying a defined persona and scenario - Maintain consistent character throughout the conversation, adhering to scenario guidelines - Convey emotional nuance, vulnerability, and realism appropriate to the persona - Submit completed conversations for review

Your role is to perform, not to evaluate the AI's responses. Who Can Apply

We are seeking professionals with a background in acting, performing arts, drama, or improvisational theater, particularly those with experience portraying emotionally complex characters. Individuals who have worked in crisis lines, peer support, or other emotionally sensitive contexts and possess strong performative skills are also encouraged to apply. Profiles We're Looking For

* Acting or performing arts (with emotional range and empathy) - Drama, theater, or film performance backgrounds - Experience in improvisational theater - Voice acting with emotional or dramatic range - Crisis line volunteers or peer-support professionals with strong role-play abilities - Helpline or support center professionals comfortable with character work

Compensation
