micro1 is seeking knowledgeable and experienced Video Content Providers (Insta360 X-series) to assist with an innovative customer project across several countries: the UK, Canada, India, Singapore, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia. In this role, you will utilize your skills to aid in the development of next-generation AI systems. Your expertise will contribute to how these systems learn, reason, and function through the provision of high-quality, real-world data. Prior experience in AI is not necessary; what we value is your deep understanding of the relevant field.

Scope of Work

- Begin by capturing natural first-person video footage of daily activities using your personal smartphone and a head strap, starting the recording process even as company-supplied Insta360 equipment is being set up.

- Operate Insta360 X series cameras proficiently, including setting up, framing, and configuring recording settings, manage video files, and use 360 Studio to reframe and export footage as per the project requirements. Handle basic troubleshooting for issues related to settings, storage, transfer, and export.

- Independently identify suitable shooting locations within the approved settings and adhere to privacy, consent, and safety guidelines.

- Progress to using company-provided video equipment and updated workflows in later phases, focusing on recording in public, commercial, and outdoor settings.

- Work collaboratively with others to record group activities when necessary, ensuring all written consents and permissions are in place.

- Uphold high standards of data quality and reliability to ensure all deliverables meet the project's specifications.

- Communicate effectively with project coordinators, providing updates, feedback, and any necessary clarifications.

Preferred Qualifications

- A proven track record in video capture or similar data collection tasks, with a keen eye for detail.

- Familiarity with Insta360 X-series cameras, especially the X3, X4, X5 models. Ownership of an Insta360 X-series camera is a significant advantage, along with experience using INSV files and 360 Studio for reframing and exporting footage.

- Reliable access to a high-quality personal smartphone suitable for video recording during the initial phase.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing accuracy and clarity in all submissions and correspondence.

- Capability to follow detailed instructions with a high degree of precision, paying close attention to privacy, consent, and metadata requirements.

- Comfortable navigating various environments for data collection, demonstrating adaptability to the evolving needs of the project.

- Proven ability to collaborate or coordinate with others when group recordings are required.

- Flexibility to manage a range of tasks and adapt quickly to new workflows and equipment as the project progresses.
