Weather Warnings Issued

Three separate yellow weather warnings are currently in effect for seven counties in Ireland, according to Met Éireann. The warnings are for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Leitrim, Sligo, Clare, and Kerry.

The first warning, a yellow wind warning, covers Donegal, Galway, and Mayo. It is expected to continue until 6pm on Wednesday. The second and third warnings, both yellow rain warnings, cover Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, and Sligo. The rain warnings will remain in effect until 6am on Thursday.

Met Éireann advises that heavy spells of rain may lead to localised flooding, poor visibility, and difficult travelling conditions. The agency also warns of the potential for wave overtopping on coastal regions and strong winds along the Atlantic coasts. Localised flooding is most likely in Atlantic coastal counties, particularly during the heavy downpours forecast for Thursday.
