We are looking for Support Engineers to offer top-tier developer support to anyone encountering issues or seeking advice while using Supabase. Our support team is distributed globally, with a keen focus on swift resolution, and collaborates closely with product engineering and growth teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Offering prompt and thorough responses to a range of support inquiries, from billing or pre-sales queries to optimization or implementation questions. - Prioritizing support cases by directing users to past solutions, code snippets, documentation, or escalating to relevant technical or business teams. - Keeping a vigilant eye on various feedback channels, such as GitHub Issues & Discussions (visit here: https://github.com/supabase/supabase/issues). - Identifying opportunities for internal tool development to enhance support efficiency. - Reproducing issues, developing test cases, and enhancing test coverage, if you have a background in testing.

You should possess:

- At least 3 years of experience in providing developer support to technical customers. - Proficiency in SQL (particularly PostgreSQL). You should feel comfortable with intricate SQL queries. Additional database administration experience is a bonus. - Exceptional communication skills and fluency in English. - Expertise in Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line interfaces. - Experience working with GitHub Issues and Discussions. - A bonus if you are familiar with popular JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, and Svelte, and have some experience with Node.js. - A degree in Computer Science is a plus.

Time Zones & Logistics

- This is a full-time role with four 10-hour shifts, covering weekends within EMEA hours: 08:00-18:00 UTC. - We are primarily seeking candidates from Europe, Africa, or Middle Eastern time zones for these shifts. - The position covers Friday to Monday based on the above UTC times, which may vary slightly depending on your specific timezone.
