Role Title: Mechanical Engineer Role Type: Contractor Location: Remote Micro1 is seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers to join a project aimed at advancing AI systems for engineering applications. This opportunity allows you to leverage your expertise to aid in training the next generation of AI models. Your contributions will influence how AI learns, reasons, and performs based on real-world data. No prior AI experience is necessary; your domain knowledge is key.
Scope of Work
- Develop precise 3D CAD models of basic mechanical parts using tools like SolidWorks, NX, Creo, or CATIA. - Analyze and interpret technical drawings to pinpoint key dimensions, tolerances, and specifications. - Draft detailed component needs, technical specifications, and manufacturing tolerances in clear, organized formats. - Offer insights and feedback on conceptual stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) tasks to support model verification. - Examine, critique, and refine technical documentation and CAD outputs for accuracy and clarity. - Offer specialized written and verbal feedback to assist in training and validating AI system outputs within a mechanical engineering context. - Work asynchronously with cross-functional teams through remote collaboration tools to ensure project goals are met.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 5 years of practical experience in mechanical design engineering, with a strong background in 3D CAD modeling and FEA. - Skilled in SolidWorks, NX, Creo, or CATIA, with a preference for candidates with proficiency in multiple platforms. - Demonstrated capability to interpret and generate detailed technical drawings and documentation. - Strong understanding of stress analysis, FEA principles, and engineering validation methods. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail in documentation. - Background in modeling components, interpreting drawings, and defining requirements. - Familiarity with the full engineering process from requirements identification to validation and documentation.
