The Role:

One of our clients needs a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to keep their Azure-based systems reliable, secure, and able to scale. If you're driven by growth, passionate about your craft, and energised by exploring new ideas for exciting products, this fits you.

What we are looking for:

* At least 5 years working as a DevOps Engineer, heavily focused on Azure.

* Deep command of Azure architecture and services: Azure VMs, Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and others.

* Skilled with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) plus automation tooling.

* Hands-on background with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).

* Comfortable with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools (ARM templates, Terraform).

* Practice with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile ways of working.

* Sharp problem-solving ability and a careful eye for detail.

* Strong communicator and collaborator.

* Based in the CET timezone (+/- 3 hours). Applications from candidates outside that range cannot be considered.

Nice-to-have:

* Azure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) count in your favour.

Responsibilities:

* Architect, build, and run cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure that scales and stays highly available.

* Write and look after automation scripts, using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash), so that infrastructure provisioning and configuration happen automatically.

* Build and tune CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and similar tools to automate software deployment.

* Run containerized applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), orchestrating containers through Docker and Kubernetes.

* Apply Infrastructure as Code principles when defining and managing infrastructure resources.

* Stand up monitoring and logging with Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and other suitable tools so the health and performance of Azure resources stay visible.

* Put security controls and best practices in place across Azure resources for infrastructure that is secure and compliant.

* Work alongside development, operations, and security teams to capture requirements and deliver cloud solutions that work.

* Write and update disaster recovery plans, keeping Azure-based systems resilient.

* Spot and clear performance bottlenecks, tighten up Azure resources, and apply best practices for efficiency.

* Produce and maintain technical documentation covering Azure infrastructure, deployment processes, and best practices.

* Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers and teammates, building a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
