As a Data Software Engineer at Dune, you will be crucial in ensuring our data platform can handle increasing volumes of blockchain data. This role involves deep thinking about large-scale distributed systems and databases, ideal for those passionate about these areas.

We are constructing a data platform that:

- Can process vast amounts of data (petabytes) - Facilitates third-party data ingestion - Supports efficient SQL queries across datasets

In this role, you will:

- Design and develop distributed systems in a structured manner and participate in significant architectural decisions - Tackle challenging technical issues, including distributed systems, large databases, SQL processing, data modeling, or system performance - Own components within our blockchain data platform, such as data ingestion and decoding - Write code primarily in Kotlin and Go, with some Java and Rust, focusing on good design and performance - Improve the developer experience by enhancing local test setups, integration tests, and incremental deployment processes - Continuously enhance platform operations, including exploring AI-driven solutions for incident diagnosis and resolution - Collaborate with one of the fastest engineering teams in the industry - Develop AI agents for automation
