Coal India Releases Provisional MT Answer Key for 2026 Exam
Coal India Limited has published the provisional Management Trainee answer key and response sheets, with an objection window open until September 3.

Answer Key and Response Sheet
Coal India Limited, known as CIL, has released the provisional answer key for its Management Trainee recruitment examination on its official website, coalindia.in. Jagranjosh.com and pw.live both report the key was published on August 30, 2026.
Candidates who sat the exam can log in with their credentials to view the answer key alongside their individual response sheet. The response sheet records the answers each candidate marked during the test.
Read together, the two documents let candidates count their correct answers and work out an estimated score before official results are declared. Both publications advise candidates to download and save copies for later reference.
Objection Window
Candidates who believe an answer in the provisional key is wrong can challenge it through the official website. The objection window runs from August 30 to September 3, 2026, according to both pw.live and Jagranjosh.com.
Jagranjosh.com specifies that objections must be submitted by 11:55 PM on September 3. Its instructions say candidates log in with a registration or roll number and password, select the question in dispute, choose the option they believe is correct and attach supporting details or documents.
The answer key is described as provisional, meaning a final version is expected after the objections are reviewed. The sources do not say when that final key or the result will be released.
The Examination and the Posts
The Management Trainee exam was held in computer based mode on August 24, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at examination centres in various locations, Jagranjosh.com reports. The recruitment is being run under Advertisement No 03/2026.
A total of 660 Management Trainee posts are to be filled. Jagranjosh.com lists disciplines including electrical, mechanical and civil. Prabhat Khabar reports a wider set of streams covering civil, electrical, mechanical, systems, electronics and telecommunication, geology, industrial engineering, official language and company secretary.
Prabhat Khabar reported on the day of the exam that around 1,29,870 candidates were appearing, an average of roughly 197 applicants for each post. That paper also said admit cards were issued on August 21, carrying the centre, exam timing, reporting time and instructions, and that performance in the computer based exam is central to selection.
