England's Early Setback
England suffered an early defeat in their first match of the One-Day International (ODI) tri-series in Pakistan, losing to Pakistan by 87 runs.
Arafat Minhas, the Pakistani all-rounder, was the star of the match, taking a career-best 6-40 and scoring 59 runs. Hasan Nawaz contributed with 79 runs, including four sixes and five fours.
England's captain Harry Brook acknowledged that they were unable to put enough pressure on the Pakistani bowlers, leading to a collapse in their batting order.
Zimbabwe Triumphs Over Bangladesh
Zimbabwe secured a 99-run victory over Bangladesh in their ODI tri-series opener at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Skipper Sikandar Raza chose to bat first, but the Chevrons lost three early wickets to Bangladesh's Taskin Ahmed, who dismissed both openers.
Despite the early loss, Zimbabwe's Craig Ervine and Brendan Taylor rebuilt the innings with a fourth-wicket stand of 150 runs. Taylor's 81 runs saw him surpass Andy Flower as Zimbabwe's leading ODI run-scorer.
