Manchester City Agree £65m Deal for Everton's Ndiaye
The Senegal forward is set for a medical after City's move for Liverpool's Cody Gakpo collapsed and Tottenham's bid fell through.
The Ndiaye Agreement
Manchester City have agreed a deal worth up to £65m to sign forward Iliman Ndiaye from Everton, according to BBC Sport. The agreement is worth £60m up front plus a further £5m in add-ons.
Ndiaye, 26, is a Senegal international. Football360, citing David Ornstein of The Athletic, reported that the deal was at the paperwork stage with a medical expected on Tuesday morning. Football360 valued the package at $122.9 million Australian dollars.
Tottenham Hotspur had agreed terms with Everton for Ndiaye on Friday night, when it appeared Richarlison would move in the opposite direction as part of a separate transfer.
Richarlison's Statement
BBC Sport reports that Richarlison failed to agree personal terms with Everton, his former club, who are understood to have offered £35m for the Brazil forward. That left Tottenham unable to proceed for Ndiaye.
In a statement posted on Instagram on Monday, Richarlison said: "After everything I've been through in the last few years, I've decided that never again will anyone decide my future for me."
He added that his intention had been to return to Everton, but that "the negotiations happened only in the way certain people wanted, and it will no longer be like that". He said he remains under contract at Spurs and at the club's disposal.
The Gakpo Collapse
City turned to Ndiaye after an £80m move for Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo appeared to fall apart on Monday. BBC Sport reports Liverpool were willing to sell the Netherlands international provided they could sign a replacement.
The two accounts differ on the details. BBC Sport puts City's move at £80m, while Football360 says Liverpool valued Gakpo at £85m and rejected City's offer because no replacement could be found. Football360 also reports that Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk urged the club to keep Gakpo.
Liverpool completed the signing of France forward Bradley Barcola from Paris St-Germain on Monday for a fee worth up to £123m. Moves for Brighton's Yankuba Minteh and Crystal Palace's Ismaila Sarr stalled over valuations. Gakpo, 27, is now expected to stay unless a winger deal is revived before Tuesday's deadline.
Tottenham's Other Business
Tottenham are in talks to sign Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk on a season-long loan. Football360 reports that Ornstein says the loan is agreed between the clubs, with personal terms still to be finalised.
Ornstein also reported an agreement for Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo to join Spurs permanently, with personal terms done and permission granted for a medical. Football360 says Mudryk, who has returned from a doping ban, would be reunited with manager Roberto De Zerbi.
Spurs have spent almost $500 million Australian dollars, including on Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Savio and Omar Marmoush. They lost their opening two matches of 2026-27 without scoring. Football360 also cites TEAMtalk on a Spurs enquiry for AC Milan's Christian Pulisic, and RMC Sport on a late Arsenal move for Lyon winger Malick Fofana.
