About this job
The Role of a Customer Success Manager at Canonical
At Canonical, the Customer Success team plays a pivotal role in reducing risk and customer churn, fostering the adoption of new products, and supporting the growth of existing accounts. Customer Success Managers (CSMs) build strong, trusting relationships with their customers, ensuring they have a seamless experience with Canonical's wide range of offerings. By understanding the specific goals of each customer, CSMs can leverage internal and external resources to address challenges, align expectations, and co-create a collaborative roadmap for success.
We are expanding our Customer Success team to enhance our customer interactions across our diverse product portfolio, including Ubuntu, open-source infrastructure, and applications.
This position marks the beginning of the CSM structure. While you will primarily focus on the technical segment, including store customers, you will also manage a portfolio. Ubuntu, chosen by thousands of new users monthly, requires us to ensure a positive experience through problem-solving, onboarding, and value realization. You will collaborate with various teams and participate in marketing efforts to engage a varied user base of Canonical products, identifying potential champions.
Location: This role will be fully remote, with global opportunities.
Your Daily Responsibilities
* Actively support customers by providing solutions to their inquiries and issues. * Enhance documentation on problem-solving, Q&A, and onboarding materials. * Drive marketing campaigns targeting multiple customers through digital channels. * Identify high-potential and high-risk customers from newly onboarded users. * Onboard new customers and familiarize them with our products and support processes. * Collaborate with Sales and Support to develop and execute engagement strategies that meet customer objectives. * Engage with your customer portfolio to monitor and mitigate risks. * Gather customer feedback and present it to the product team for review.
What We Seek in You
* Experience in customer-facing roles. * A caring and helpful nature. * A passion for technology, particularly Ubuntu. * Excellent communication skills. * Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain and update documentation. * A collaborative spirit that can bridge departmental gaps.
Additional Skills You Might Bring
* We value multilingual abilities. If you are fluent in Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, or Italian, alongside English, please let us know!
What We Offer
We tailor compensation based on geographical location, experience, and performance. We review compensation annually, and more frequently for graduates and associates, to ensure recognition of outstanding performance. In addition to a competitive base salary, we provide a performance-based annual bonus. We offer a range of benefits that align with our values, considering local needs and ensuring global fairness.
* A flexible remote work environment with in-person team meetups twice a year. * A personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 annually. * Regular performance reviews. * Recognition programs. * Generous holiday leave. * Maternity and paternity leave. * Employee Assistance Program. * Opportunities to visit new locations and meet colleagues from various teams. * Priority Pass for travel and upgrades for long-haul company events.
