Remote jobs in Iceland

All 1736 vacancies on the board are open to an applicant here: each one either states no location restriction at all, or names Europe. Read that second group carefully, because "Europe" describes a continent and not a right to work.

A 09:00 to 18:00 day here gives 7 hours of overlap with the European employers on this board and 5 hours with the North American ones. The European roles are the easier fit for ordinary hours; the others are workable, but an advert asking for overlap is asking you to move your day.

Across the 135 of these vacancies that publish a salary on a monthly, weekly or yearly basis, the median works out at $5,400 a month. Hourly rates are left out of that figure on purpose: an hourly rate is a price, not an income, and multiplying it by a guess at the hours would invent a salary nobody offered. Against average local earnings that is about 0.9 times the local figure (ILOSTAT).

The vacancy text on each page is the employer's own, in the language they published it. The board does not take applications and is not the employer: "apply" goes to the original posting.
