SUMMARY

MAIN OBJECTIVE

Welocalize is currently looking for dedicated and culturally adept Sports Subject Matter Experts, particularly in the field of football, who possess excellent writing abilities to join our localization team. Your role will involve reviewing, localizing, fact-checking, translating, and adapting football-related content to ensure it connects well with your local audience.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

- Scrutinize, localize, verify, translate, and adjust sports content, primarily focusing on football, ensuring consistency with writing style guidelines - Conduct targeted research on local market content, product and terminology trends, and optimal localization practices for the intended audience in your region - Offer constructive feedback on the written material

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor's or Master's degree and at least two years of experience in the linguistic sector, sports journalism, copywriting, or copy-editing - In-depth knowledge of football and sports-related topics - Experience in translating and localizing multimedia content, including proficiency in machine translations and evaluations - Native-level proficiency in the target language - Exceptional grammar and writing skills in the native language - Strong creative writing, proofreading, and editing skills in the native language - Technologically adept: proficient in using computers, mobile devices, word processors, and spreadsheets - Ownership of a licensed version of Microsoft Office applications - Capability to work independently and remotely
