PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Welocalize is currently seeking dedicated and culturally adept Sports Subject Matter Experts with a focus on football and outstanding writing abilities to join our localization team. Your responsibilities will include reviewing, localizing, fact-checking, translating, and adapting football-related content to ensure it resonates with your local market.

PROJECT DETAILS

- Language Pair: English (US) to Hebrew - Task Type: Quality Control, Translation, Copy Editing, Machine Translation and Post-Editing (MTPE) - Assessment Criteria: Grammar and SME Knowledge

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

- Content Review and Localization: Scrutinize, localize, fact-check, translate, and adapt sports-related content, predominantly focused on football, while complying with writing style guides and guidelines - Market Research: Conduct in-depth market-specific research on local content, product, and terminology trends, and best localization practices for the target audience in your market - Feedback Provision: Offer constructive feedback on written content

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years of work experience in the linguistic field, sports journalism, copywriting, or copy-editing - Sports Knowledge: Profound understanding of football - Content Experience: Previous experience in translating and localizing multimedia content, ideally including machine translations and evaluations - Language Proficiency: Native-level fluency in the target language - Writing Skills: Superior grammar and writing abilities in the native language - Creative Skills: Strong creative writing, proofreading, and editing skills in the native language - Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using computers and mobile devices, word processors, and spreadsheets - Software Licensing: Possession of a legitimate version of MS Office applications - Independence: Ability to work independently and remotely

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE SKILLS
