What this role offers It's an exhilarating time to join Remote as a Senior Product Manager, Fraud and Compliance, in our fintech division. As Remote scales, handling larger transaction volumes across multiple countries, the risk of fraud, credit risk, and compliance risk increases. Your role will be central to safeguarding Remote and its users, from onboarding verification to credit risk assessment, and fraud detection.

You will lead the transition from reactive, rule-based controls to proactive, automated systems that can identify and address risk signals efficiently. This is a high-autonomy position with significant impact. You will work closely with Risk, Compliance, Treasury, Legal, Collections, and Engineering.

What you need to bring

* Expertise in Cursor and/or Claude Code, with the ability to independently develop, debug, and deploy functional code and prototypes.

* Proficiency in AI. You should have a clear vision of how AI and automation can transform risk operations, from pattern recognition to anomaly detection and compliance workflows.

* A proven track record as a Product Manager, especially in platform, API, or operational products.

* A platform-oriented mindset. Your work should support scalable growth, reducing manual effort while maintaining efficiency.

* A strong commitment to user experience. Your tools should be user-friendly, both for administrators and customers.

* Exceptional communication and collaboration skills. You will partner closely with compliance, engineering, design, treasury, and legal teams, setting a positive example for asynchronous workflows.

* Data-driven decision-making. You should be comfortable analyzing data and using visualization tools to drive your priorities.

* A growth mindset. You are eager to learn and quickly adapt to new challenges, contributing to the overall team’s growth.

* Sound judgment. You should make both strategic and tactical decisions with clarity and precision.

* Proficiency in English at a business level.

* Domain expertise (optional): Experience with risk/compliance platforms or fraud detection tools.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead credit risk assessment and reserve management. Develop and enhance strategies for evaluating, scoring, and mitigating credit risk.

* Design and implement fraud detection and prevention mechanisms. Create proactive strategies to detect and prevent fraud, not just react to it.

* Automate compliance processes. Own end-to-end onboarding compliance, including KYB verification, AML screening, and background checks. Drive automation to reduce manual effort while ensuring regulatory compliance.

* Develop flexible, scalable systems. Opt for solutions that operations teams can configure and extend without engineering intervention.

* Collaborate with Collections and Treasury. Partner on risk reserves, payment blocks, and enforcement actions. Own the admin and customer-facing surfaces that support this.

* Ship products efficiently. Lead a product team delivering high throughput and high ROI. Advance key KPIs around automation rates, false-positive reduction, and risk accuracy.

* Manage stakeholder relationships. Translate complex risk trade-offs into clear product decisions. Align with Compliance Operations, Treasury, Legal, and senior leadership.

Salary Range The annual salary range for this full-time position is $149,750-$168,500 USD.
