About this job

At Dscout, we're developing the most flexible and robust UX research platform, trusted by leading brands across finance, healthcare, consumer goods, and tech sectors. Our tools help teams gain deeper insights into the users behind their products, enabling them to create better solutions. We are expanding our dynamic and driven team and would love for you to join us.

Overview

We are seeking a Solutions Consultant to join our Presales Team at Dscout. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Account Directors to assist potential customers in evaluating Dscout’s research platform. You will serve as both a product expert and a strategic advisor, identifying pain points, shaping use cases, and showcasing the real value Dscout can bring. This position combines presales excellence, research credibility, and product storytelling, making it ideal for individuals who thrive on problem-solving, discovery, and influencing customer decisions. You will report directly to the Senior Director of Solutions Consulting.

Responsibilities

- Work with Account Directors to understand customer objectives in research, design, and broader business contexts. - Support discovery sessions to pinpoint pain points and deconstruct complex research workflows. - Transform customer challenges into clear, impactful use cases. - Present compelling, customized demonstrations tailored to each customer’s workflow, challenges, and goals. - Drive alignment with the customer’s buying committee to secure the “tech win.” - Act as the product expert, explaining capabilities, value, limitations, and best practices. - Scope, plan, and execute customer evaluations, including research design, participant recruitment, fieldwork, and analysis support. - Collaborate with prospects to establish a clear roadmap for onboarding, adoption, and long-term success. - Contribute to the development of presales materials, including collateral, case studies, and thought leadership content. - Provide structured feedback to Product, Research, and Customer Success based on customer insights. - Engage in conferences, customer visits, and company events (approximately 25% travel). - Participate in Dscout’s culture of feedback, continuous improvement, and research excellence.

Qualifications

- At least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing SaaS role such as Solutions Consulting, Solutions Engineering, Research Consulting, or a related field. - A solid grasp of qualitative research methodologies with hands-on experience in planning and executing research. - Strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex research workflows into compelling product narratives. - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, adept at being consultative, clear, and persuasive with senior stakeholders. - Comfort with navigating ambiguity, structuring complex problems, and formulating strategic recommendations. - A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, behavioral sciences, HCI, design research, or equivalent professional experience.

Desirable Experience

- Experience supporting enterprise-level sales cycles. - Familiarity with UX research, insights, or usability testing platforms like Dscout, UserTesting, or Maze. - Exposure to product management or prototyping tools such as Figma or Miro. - Leadership experience, including mentoring, onboarding, or serving as a team lead.

Key to Success

- Meeting quarterly tech-win and presales influence targets. - Delivering high-quality demonstrations, POCs, and discovery engagements that accelerate pipeline momentum and customer clarity. - Receiving strong feedback scores and ratings from Account Directors. - Demonstrating thought leadership through internal enablement or external research-community engagement. - Providing meaningful insights to the Product and Marketing teams that inform roadmap and positioning.
